Search Engine Reputation Management

Search Engine Reputation Management (also sometimes called ‘Search Engine Image Protection’) involves the use of search engine optimisation (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) to protect your online brand.

It’s likely that your current or potential customers will at some point enter your business name into Google, Yahoo or Bing. Imagine their reaction if, right under where your website, a bad review of your company or services appears.

Nowadays it’s so easy to post comments or feedback about anything - whether or not you’ve actually used a company or a product. Indeed, it’s not uncommon for competitors to post negative reviews as an attack on their competition, particularly in highly competitive industries such as the hospitality industry (hotels, restaurants, etc).

This is where Search Engine Image Protection comes in - whilst it’s not always possible to have a review removed from a particular site (we will always advise on this as a possibility), what we can do is replace all of the negative listings in the search engine ranking pages (SERPs) with fresh, new and positive information about your business. We do this by carefully analysing the way that the search engine views the page that contains the negative listing, and essentially beating the quality of that listing from the search engine’s point of view.
